Encouraging news today...

Happy Friday!

We have been doing a whole lot of staring at our little girl's picture.  I love studying her beautiful face and we are getting so excited to meet her.  We found out today that the 4 families that were waiting to be granted court dates got their court date ... for March 27th!  They are all leaving next week to meet their kiddos!  Woot Woot!

I cannot begin to tell you how excited this makes us ... things are moving and we can now anticipate finding out when our court date will be in about 1 month.  We also anticipate that we may have very little notice as to when we need to travel (these families found out today, Friday, and they are traveling on Tuesday!)  so I spent the afternoon getting our paperwork and money orders ready to apply for our visas to travel.  If all follows suit for our court date, we may be traveling in mid to late April to meet our sweet little girl and officially become her parents in the Ghanaian courts.  (remember, we won't bring her home after that trip ... we come back, apply for her visa, and then have to go back for her when it is ready and she can officially enter the US)

Please continue to join us in prayer for our little one and for this process.  We heard that they were moving her to a different foster home - the one she has been in since July was just supposed to be temporary.  While that is fine and dandy, it's another move and adjustment for her which is not easy.  She will have to change schools and get used to new people ... again.  The good news is that one of the families that are traveling next week have their child in the same foster home.  If our daughter has indeed moved there already they can get some new pictures and visit with her for us! :)

The boys are getting used to the idea of another sister and Caris can now properly pronounce her name.  (Caris kept calling her "that girl" for the first few days because she couldn't remember it! :)  Cade even secretly told Caris that "sisters aren't that bad" after having a fun evening and sleepover in her room last weekend.  That's a big step for him!

Thanks for sharing in this journey with us - we appreciate each and every prayer said!

Robin
